With a PhD and a wealth of commercial experience, Annette uses practical techniques to help individuals translate the value of what they do with impact on both their business strategy and the way they communicate it. Clients say they use what what they learn in a single hour to think, act, and speak like a leaders throughout their business lives.

Annette is a recognised thought leader in the US and Europe. After working as a pioneer in the early web agency world in New York, she was hired to expand the brandr for PwC’s first global portal for eight years. She also headed up strategic alliances closing the first commercial content deal with the United Nations after the announcement of the Global Compaq in New York.

In London, as an original partner at Activate, Annette co-designed a programme that got companies from idea to funding in 6 weeks. Annette also served two terms as one of nine at St George’s House, Windsor Castle, a think-tank established by Prince Philip in the 1960s. Annette’s insights can be found both online and in print, in the US and Europe, with 10 Principles of Leadership Presence becoming an instant hit for Strategy& - with twice the average take-up the year it was published and continuing popular readership.

Annette is a consistent advocate for women in business, most notably with workshops for various for- and non-profit organisations and by serving on the leadership committee of UPWARD Women established in Silicon Valley to support mid- to high-level professional women throughout their careers.

Annette began her career in the New York theatre and teaching at Brown University. She has worked for decades with enterprise, small businesses, universities and governments, and the third sector to bring out the best in individuals, groups and to align strategy across departments and organisations.
